Studies abroad

All students of Vilnius University have the opportunity to spend part of their studies at foreign universities, provided that the subjects offered are compatible with the goals of the study program of Vilnius University and can be integrated into it.

University students can participate in Erasmus+, Erasmus Mundus, NORDPLUS, ISEP exchange programs, as well as take advantage of the University's bilateral contracts and internships, summer or winter courses and other opportunities.

Internships abroad

University students may undertake internships abroad with the help of the following programs:

  • Erasmus+. Internships are conducted in companies and organizations operating abroad.
  • Vulcanus in Japan (focused on graduate students in physical, engineering sciences, first and second cycle). The internship is designed to familiarize with the advanced technologies used by advanced Japanese companies, to learn the Japanese language, to understand the culture and to gain international professional experience in industrial companies in Japan.

Students going to international placements under the above programs receive a placement mobility grant. International internships last from 2 to 12 months.
